THE PURPOSE of this blog is to document an evolution. For fellow believers, it’s a documentation of a life pressing forward, if not also upward. And for those that question what motivation there is to live life as a believer, this blog seeks to showcase the struggles and victories that a life of faith travels through.

In Ephesians 2:10 Paul speaks to the Ephesian church, affirming that God designed his people with a purpose in mind – to move forward… “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them ” (ESV). God called his people to walk- to move. Philippians 3:14 bears a similar message from Paul, to press on. This may be the single most important thing to grasp: pressing on and moving forward is the mission in a life of faith. Max Lucado in his book, “Just like Jesus” puts explains the concept of moving forward in these words, “God loves you the way you are, but he refuses to leave us there. He wants you to have a heart like his.” Pressing on and moving forward has a goal and a prize. The goal is perfection and the prize is the heart of God.

We are children of the Fall, full of imperfections and often take one step forward and two steps back for much of the journey. The beauty in this brokenness comes with the fact that we move, or rather God moves in us, calling us ever forward. And so we press on.

Dear Beloved,

and Spoken For,

This is a message for you. God wants to take you as you are and make you into his original, and perfect creation. Will you move forward?
